M A Taher, Member of RDF General Council. He was born in Hajipur Union of Begumgonj Upazila under Noakhali District. He obtained M.Sc in Physics from Jahangirnagar University in 1985.

He plays the role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sherpa Power Engineering Ltd. Mr. Taher is a renowned name in Renewable Energy Sector, especially in Solar Irrigation Pumping System (SIPS) in Bangladesh.

Taher has been contributing significantly for the well being of RDF as he is also a social activist.
